How to Turn a Product URL into an Animated Promo Video with Claude
Paste a public product page into a brief and let Claude Opus 5.5 build a 15–60 second motion graphics promo: what Claude reads from the page, a brief template, formats, cost and limits.
This is the hosted route, which needs no Claude plan. Anthropic's own Claude Motion can also animate attached content, but only on Claude Team and Enterprise plans. Details below reflect this generator on 10 October 2026.
What Claude reads from the URL
Before the sandbox starts, the site reads up to two public HTTPS links from your brief and passes their text and a few image candidates to Claude. While it builds, Claude can also open public pages in a headless browser, save a screenshot, the visible text and up to six images per page, and download public files such as images or fonts.
It uses that material for the product's name, wording, colors and imagery. It can crop a screenshot of your site into the animation, but the motion itself is drawn in code: it does not record someone clicking through your product.
Pages behind a login, pages that block automated readers and anything that needs a form or a POST request cannot be read. If your page is thin or blocked, attach screenshots and images instead (up to 15, JPG, PNG or WebP, 10 MB each).
Step by step
- Pick one message. A promo of 15 to 30 seconds carries one idea and two or three proof points, not the whole feature list.
- Write the brief. Include the URL, the audience, the exact headline, the proof points and the call to action, with a time range for each scene.
- Attach images. Your logo and the product shots you want on screen. Claude places, crops and moves them; it does not make people in a photo move.
- Choose length, format and sound in the generator, then press Generate. You can follow Claude's work log while it plans, codes and checks preview frames.
- Check every word in the finished MP4, then download it. To change something, edit the brief and generate again.
A brief you can copy
Replace the bracketed parts:
Make a 30-second vertical promo for [Product], using https://[your-site]/[product-page] for its name, wording, colors and images. Audience: [who it is for]. 0–4s: logo and the headline "[exact headline]". 4–20s: three proof points, one at a time: "[point 1]", "[point 2]", "[point 3]", each with a simple icon or a cropped product image. 20–26s: one short customer quote or number: "[exact text]". 26–30s: "[call to action]" and [your-site]. Use the brand colors from the page, large text that is readable on a phone, smooth but quick transitions and light upbeat music. Do not invent features or numbers that are not on the page.
The last sentence matters: it keeps Claude to what the page actually says.
Choosing length and format
| Where it plays | Format | Length |
|---|---|---|
| Reels, TikTok, Shorts, Stories | 9:16 (1080×1920) | 15 or 30 seconds |
| Landing page hero, YouTube, product launch post | 16:9 (1920×1080) | 30 seconds |
| LinkedIn or X feed, ads | 1:1 (1080×1080) | 15 seconds |
| Walkthrough with several steps | 16:9 or 9:16 | 60 seconds |
For sound, choose synthesized music, silence, your own MP3, WAV, M4A or OGG track, or AI voiceover where it is switched on.
What a result looks like
This homepage example was written by Claude Opus 5.5 from a text brief for a fictional notes app and rendered by the generator's renderer. A URL-based brief produces the same kind of video, with your page's names, wording and images in place of the fictional ones.
Play it to see the result. The figures below come from the published file.
- 15.0 s
- 16:9 · 1920×1080
- 30 fps
- H.264 video, AAC stereo sound
- Synthesized music, no voiceover
Brief: A launch video for Acme Notes, a note-taking app that tags and organizes notes automatically. Dark background with warm orange accents. Open on the product name and the line "Notes that organize themselves". Then show the app window: three notes type themselves in and each gets a tag. Search for "launch", show "Auto-tagged. Instantly searchable." and end on a button that says "Try Acme Notes free".
For an app walkthrough instead of a launch promo, start from this vertical brief and swap in your own product:

A video starts at 50 credits. More is charged only as Claude works, up to 200 credits for 15 seconds, 300 for 30 and 500 for 60; a typical 15-second video ends around 40 credits. Reading web pages and looking at images is billed as part of that work, with no separate fee. Unused credits charged ahead come back, and a failed video is refunded. Videos made before an account's first purchase carry a moving watermark. Prices are on the pricing page.
Limits
- One brief makes one video of 15, 30 or 60 seconds; there is no timeline or chat-based editing.
- Only public pages can be read; logins, forms and private dashboards cannot.
- No video upload: product demos you have filmed cannot be cut into the promo.
- No realistic footage or people. For live-action shots, use a video model and combine the clips in an editor.
FAQ
Can Claude make a promo video from my website link?
Yes. Put a public HTTPS link in the brief. Claude reads the page's text and images and builds a motion graphics promo around them, and the site renders it to an MP4.
Will the video show my real website?
It can include cropped screenshots and images from your page, but the motion is drawn in code. It is not a screen recording.
Does this use Anthropic's Claude Motion?
No. Opus 5.5 Video is an independent tool that runs Claude Opus 5.5 through Anthropic's API; Claude Motion is Anthropic's own beta inside Claude Team and Enterprise plans. See the Claude Motion alternative page for a comparison.
Can I make it vertical for TikTok or Reels?
Yes. Choose 9:16 in the generator; the MP4 is 1080×1920.
