ONE PHOTO · THE BAD TIMES ARGUMENT
Bad Times AI Video for TikTok from One Pet Photo
Make a Bad Times AI video from one photo of your dog, cat or yourself: recreate @bouuhyachaka’s performance, lip-syncing to Imael Angel’s “Bad Times” while arguing with the camera.
9:16 MP4 · 10, 15 or 30 seconds · Song included · From 15 credits
Before you spend credits: pick a sharp photo with a visible face and paws. A tight face crop gives the model less information about the body.
Your pet or portrait photo
One clear subject. For pets, show the face, body and front paws.
JPG, PNG or WebP up to 20 MB. At least 300 px on the short edge, no edge above 6,000 px, and a shape no wider or taller than 2.5:1. Use your own pet photo or a portrait you have permission to animate.
This video uses 91 credits. A failed job returns the full charge.
Unexpired signup and admin gift credits, purchased credits and subscription credits work here. Reward credits do not. Your eligible balance must cover the full quote.

What is the Bad Times AI video trend?
The Bad Times AI trend turns a pet or portrait into the performer in @bouuhyachaka’s exaggerated argument to Imael Angel’s song “Bad Times.” The joke comes from the performance: grabbing the head, gesturing at the lens, holding the paws or hands up, then leaning into the camera. On Opus 5.5 Video, one photo supplies the subject and a built-in clip supplies the motion; the original clip’s soundtrack is added to the finished video.
First, your photo becomes an opening pose in its own setting: a pet stands upright with its front paws by its head. Seedance then uses that image, your original photo and the performance clip to make the video. You do not need to write a prompt or upload a reference clip. Likeness and mouth timing can vary.

- Show enough of the animal
- Choose one dog or cat with a visible muzzle, ears, body and front paws. A full-body or generous three-quarter photo gives more useful shape information than a close-up of the eyes.
- Keep the face readable
- Use even light and a sharp subject. Avoid motion blur, heavy filters, objects over the mouth and another pet touching the subject. Enlarging a tiny image does not recover missing facial detail.
- Start with a short clip
- A 10-second version lets you inspect the face and paws before spending more on a longer performance. More pixels can make the file clearer, but cannot guarantee better anatomy or mouth timing.
JPG, PNG or WebP up to 20 MB. At least 300 px on the short edge, no edge above 6,000 px, and a shape no wider or taller than 2.5:1. Use your own pet photo or a portrait you have permission to animate.

Pick a 10-, 15- or 30-second clip for your post
- 10 seconds: the opening
- Use the opening of the reference for a short post or a lower-cost first attempt. Mini at 480p costs 15 credits, including the opening-pose image.
- 15 seconds: a longer exchange
- The default is Seedance 2.5 at 480p for 15 seconds. After preparing the opening pose, the tool keeps this stretch of the performance in one video job, with the matching section of the song.
- 30 seconds: the longer routine
- Seedance 2.5 makes one 30-second job. The 2.0 models generate two 15-second parts that are joined with one continuous soundtrack; a visual seam or a change in likeness can appear at the join.
480p is the default and keeps the credit cost down. Choose 720p for more output pixels, or 1080p on Seedance 2.0 and 2.5. All choices produce a vertical 9:16 MP4.
Make and save your video on iPhone or Android
- 01
Upload one photo
Open this page in your phone’s browser, sign in and select a clear pet photo or an authorized portrait. The original performance reference is already included.
- 02
Choose the clip and check the quote
Pick a model, resolution and 10, 15 or 30 seconds, then check the total credits. The tool prepares an opening-pose image before making the video. Seedance 2.5 reviews that image, your original photo and the reference clip before generation.
- 03
Review, download and post
Watch the finished video, check the face, paws and timing, then download the MP4. Save the original file to your phone before uploading it to TikTok or Reels. The Bad Times soundtrack is already in the file.
What should a cat version ask for?
This tool supplies its own fixed prompt. For a prompt-based editor, the useful instructions are about the cat’s anatomy and the reference timing. This example cannot make an editor support motion reference if it has no such feature.
Follow the supplied Bad Times performance with this cat as the only subject. Keep its own muzzle, ears and fur markings. Let it stand and gesture with whole front paws, with no human fingers or pasted human mouth. Match the head movements, pauses and mouth openings in the reference. Keep the face consistent and omit on-screen text.
Use a photo you are entitled to use and get the pictured person’s permission. Uploads are used for generation; avoid sensitive images. The clip and music are third-party works, and this tool does not grant a separate music license.
Bad Times credits, free balance and watermarks
Each quote includes the opening-pose image and the complete video, including both parts of a joined 30-second clip. The image step includes a backup model if the first one fails; there is no extra charge for that fallback. The quote is checked again when you press Generate.

Dollar equivalents use the lowest monthly credit price: $99 for 2100 credits. They are a subscription-credit comparison, not a standalone cash checkout price. Current quotes dated October 12, 2026; image-generation costs and Seedance 2.5’s upstream tariff are estimates.
| Free signup balance | The current signup setting is 3 credits. A clip starts at 15, so this balance alone does not cover a video. |
|---|---|
| Smallest credit pack | $5 buys 50 credits: up to 3 lowest-price clips, or 0 clips at the default settings. |
| Credits accepted | Unexpired signup and admin gift credits, purchased credits and subscription credits work here. Reward credits do not. Your eligible balance must cover the full quote. |
| Watermark | Accounts without a paid order get a moving watermark. After a paid order, new videos have none and eligible earlier videos can be downloaded clean. Active super administrators are exempt. |
| Failed jobs | A confirmed failed or rejected generation returns the full credit charge. A completed result you dislike is not automatically a failed job. |
Keep your MP4 clear and the song aligned
Review the downloaded original before posting. Use the MP4 directly instead of a screen recording or a copy sent through a messaging app. A larger export cannot restore detail that is missing in the source photo.
| What you see | What to check | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Eyes or mouth change shape | Blur, obstruction, a tiny face or a difficult movement can leave too little stable detail. | Try a sharper photo with a clear muzzle or face and a shorter clip. Changing resolution alone may not fix it. |
| The pet grows fingers or a human mouth | The model is interpreting a human performance on an animal body. | Choose a photo showing the front paws. Our prompt requests whole paws and the animal’s own muzzle, but the result still needs review. |
| The post looks softer than the download | Repeated exports, messaging apps and the social platform can recompress the video. | Upload the original MP4 once. Keep its 9:16 frame and frame rate; avoid zooming or stretching a 480p clip to fill a larger canvas. |
| Music doubles or the mouth feels late | Adding a platform sound over the included soundtrack can make two tracks play. Mouth motion may also be imperfect in the generation itself. | Keep one audible track. If you replace the sound in an editor, mute the file’s audio and align the same section of the song. Avoid changing playback speed; a distorted mouth needs a new generation. |
Motion reference uses a performance clip to guide the whole body. A talking-photo app mainly animates a face to audio. A CapCut template arranges media inside its own edit. They can produce different versions of a Bad Times video; they do not share one universal prompt or guaranteed result.
The MP4 includes the reference clip’s Bad Times audio. Music availability and posting rules depend on the platform, region and account. Check the platform’s available sound and usage terms before publishing; a successful download does not guarantee a post will keep its audio.
Bad Times AI video FAQ
- How do I make a Bad Times video for Reels on my iPhone?
- Use this page in your browser: upload one photo, choose a vertical clip and check the credits before generating. Download the finished MP4, save it to your phone, then upload it to Reels. Android follows the same steps. You do not need to install a desktop editor.
- What should a prompt say for a cat Bad Times video?
- Specify the cat’s own face and fur, whole front paws, an animal muzzle and the timing of the supplied reference. Avoid asking for human hands. This tool includes a fixed prompt, so there is no prompt field to fill in; a photo that shows the paws still matters.
- How can I fix distorted eyes or a melting mouth?
- Start with a sharper, evenly lit image where the eyes and mouth are unobstructed, and try a short clip. More resolution adds pixels but does not guarantee stable facial anatomy. If the distortion is already in the downloaded result, changing TikTok export settings will not remove it.
- How is this different from an AI talking photo?
- The Bad Times joke uses the whole performance: head grabs, arm or paw gestures, pauses and leaning toward the lens. This tool uses a built-in performance video to guide those actions and adds its song. A talking-photo app typically focuses on mouth and face animation from audio.
- Can I upload a 10-second selfie video instead of a photo?
- This page accepts still photos only. You can save a sharp frame from your video as a JPG, PNG or WebP and upload that. Your selfie video’s movements will not transfer: the built-in Bad Times clip controls the performance. Perfect lip-sync is not guaranteed.
- Will an old iPhone and a low-quality pet photo work?
- Generation runs on the server, so the phone does not need to render the video. It still needs to open the page and upload a supported image. A blurry or tiny pet photo limits the detail available to the model; choose a clearer photo when possible instead of expecting automatic restoration.
- What export settings help a Bad Times video stay clear on TikTok?
- Download the original 9:16 MP4 and upload that file without screen recording or repeated re-exports. Keep its frame rate and aspect ratio. Choose 720p or 1080p at generation if you need more pixels, and avoid enlarging a low-resolution result. TikTok may still recompress the upload, so identical quality cannot be guaranteed.
